Why did we choose Valmeinier?
We are from Grenoble: Denis engineer at HP, mountain and cycling enthusiast and Claudie professor of literature amateur schools. We came for more than 20 years to Valmeinier as a family with other couples of friends. Valmeinier for us is the combination of exceptional landscapes in summer and winter, a very beautiful ski area, a warm welcome from its inhabitants and strong and old friendly relationships.
Life being a succession of events, we have moved a lot with each time, the taste to make ourselves arrangements and decoration: a long learning. In addition, my professional activities have led me to travel around the world and to live in numerous hotel rooms.
It is this combination of places, people and activities that led us, on the occasion of an early retirement to imagine the Chalet le 1000 Thabor, an active retirement project but also an ambitious construction project consisting of a chalet to accommodate holidaymakers in the best conditions, the South of the building on 3 floors as well as an independent living space for us North of the building on 2 floors separated from the cottage by a large outdoor terrace and technical parts so as to guarantee perfect independence between the 2 habitats both inside and outside. We have integrated the comfort and design that we love and the practice of these holidays spent in "tribe" where everyone finds their place for a successful experience. This is what we want to share with you.
