A large chalet in Valmeinier that adapts to your tribe

Forget about cramped mountain stays. With its 200sqm, the chalet le 1000 Thabor is a self-catered gite which offers you the comfort of a 4 * hotel combined with the charm of an appealing and unique chalet in the alps. 5 or 6 bedrooms, single beds or double beds, it's up to you.

In winter the sauna will bring you relaxation and recovery. In summer you can take your meals outside, take a nap or play with your children.

You will enjoy a privileged location not overlooked in the hamlet of Les Mélèzes at Valmeinier. The chalet has a breathtaking view over  "Col du Télégraphe" , "Crey du Quart", "Pointe du Chateau" and Vanoise mountains. It will allow you in summer to enjoy a quiet area,  a gorgeous view and to feel the alpine freshness. During winter, a free shuttle will take you to the chairlifts of Valmeinier Village after a 5-minute drive.

The lounge area

The dining area

It is located between the lounge area and the kitchen area separated from the lounge by a thick partition that contains the two-sided fireplace with circulation on each side.

The kitchen area

The very well equipped kitchen with quality appliances allows the best chefs to express their talents. A cellar with numerous storage spaces will allow you to store your provisions.

The rooms

Our rooms are spacious and equipped with very comfortable bedding, cupboards and a bathroom with WC as at the hotel. We provide towels and bed linen. Beds are made upon arrival. By default, the chalet has 5 bedrooms for a capacity of 15 people. On request you can add a sixth bedroom to come with an extra.
The beds
  • All our beds can be organized into 2 single beds of 80 * 200 or 1 double bed of 160 * 200 according to your wishes (except dormitory)
  • Our 30 cm Multi-active EPEDA hotel mattresses are VERY, VERY COMFORTABLE!
  • Duvet covers
  • Bed linen and towels are provided. The beds are made before your arrival.
  • 3 bunk beds in the dormitory (6 beds): the favorite place for children. Also suitable for adults
  • We provide 2 baby cots with comfort mattresses including bed linen without supplements

Room capacity
  • First floor south bedroom: 2 people 1 double bed or 2 single beds
  • First floor west bedroom: 3 people 1 double bed and single bed or 3 single beds
  • Second floor south east bedroom: 2 people 1 double bed or 2 single beds
  • Second floor south west bedroom: 2 people 1 double bed or 2 single beds
  • Second floor west dormitory: 6 people 6 single beds in 3 large bunk beds
The additional room
  • Optional and with an extra, depending on the organization of your group, we can add, at your request, a sixth bedroom on the ground floor that comes with a double bed . The bathroom and WC to be used are those of the nearby sauna. Large picture window and private terrace .

Additional spaces and equipment

A large Finnish sauna will allow you to recover from the efforts of the day.

A shoe dryer in the entrance hall, a laundry room with dryer and washing machine are available.

Sauna, shoe dryer, laundry area with washing machine and dryer, barbecue, bicycle garage, bicycle repair stand and washing point, a good level of equipment suitable for different activities.

The garden

The Garden offers you the possibility of eating or having an aperitif outside, sheltered from the sun, in a friendly atmosphere.

Our contribution to the planet

Sorting
Several bins allow you to sort your waste. We have set up a compost.
Energy management
Insulation from the outside and orientation of the building giving pride of place to bay windows allow energy conservation and significant heat input.
A wood pellet boiler is used to produce hot water and supply the heated floors in the common rooms and the radiators in the rooms. Thermostat and thermostatic valves allow you to adapt the temperature to your needs.
